PE Rule-Out Criteria
💡 If ALL 8 criteria are negative, PE can be ruled out without D-dimer (<1.6% PE risk).
Check criteria that are POSITIVE (present).
Age <50 years

Heart rate <100 bpm

SpO₂<95% on room air
+1
Unilateral leg swelling (DVT sign)

Hemoptysis
+1
Surgery or trauma within 4 weeks

Previous VTE (DVT/PE)

Estrogen use (OCP/HRT)
